Science Tutor Leicester

We are currently looking for a few new members of staff to join our growing Science Department. If you match most of the following criteria, please contact us with you name, email and phone number and we will be in touch

• Are a qualified Science Teacher or training to become a Science teacher

• Are able to commit to at least one evening per week during term time for 2-3 hours (5-7pm or 5-8pm), preferably Mondays

• Are able to teach Key Stage 3 science and GCSE Level Science

• Are enthusiastic about your subject and would like to teach students who are interested in the subject and hoping to study A-Level in Science and many to go on to study Medicine or Dentistry

• Willing to set a regular homework each week to give students a chance to widen their knowledge on the lesson taught

• Our Students are all studying the higher GCSE course or are in the top sets of Key Stage 3.
• Small groups of up to 8 students
• There are no behavioural issues to worry about as our students are all keen to learn and will stay focussed for the whole duration of the lesson
• Students will ask thoughtful questions so you will need to be prepared to answer them
• Close to 80% of our GCSE students achieve a Grade A or higher in Science and almost all GCSE students will go on to study A-Levels in Science.
• A majority of GCSE students will study triple science but you will only be required to teach up to double science.
• An extra income of up to £2500 per annum for working only one evening per week
