For Parents of children in school Year 1 to Year 6
We are hoping to hold a Parent and Child day for the following year groups:
Each session would last one hour and in the session parents would be taught some of the techniques that their child would be learning at school so they understand how to help their own child. We would then provide you with some resources that you could work with your child over the coming weeks to give them an advantage at school.
Parents would also get regular emails with general advice, tips, book reviews and techniques they could try with their child to help support their education. A lot of parents ask what books we would recommend for their child and we would pick out a selection that we would recommend.
We are hoping to start these sessions next term depending on the interest of you and your friends and family. If this is something that would be of interest, we would be happy to run this. This would take place on a Tuesday evening and each session will last one hour, and they would take place at Beauchamp College in Oadby once per half term. We want this to be more of a Community event, so there would not be a charge for parents to attend, this would be completely FREE.
Please remember that this would be a Parent and Child evening, so parents MUST remain present with their child for the duration of the sessions.
Now to me it sounds like a great idea, but I think I’m a little biased, so I would be grateful if over the next few weeks you could speak to your friends and family who have children in Primary school to find out if they feel it is something that could benefit them. Remember to tell them it’s FREE.
Please leave your details below if you feel this would benefit you and your child.
